Welcome, New Maplers, One and All!
Is this your first time gracing Maple World with your presence? Have you never heard of Henesys, VIP Teleport Scroll, Cygnus Knights, and the like?
Then we’ve got great news for you! To celebrate your arrival and help you on your way to experiencing MapleStory in all its glory, we’ve lined up events just for all new Maplers registering between December 10th and the 19th!
Event 1: Hey there, buddy!
Make friends in-game and add ten of them to your buddy list. Then you will be rewarded with a VIP Teleport Scroll, which is an item that teleports you to just about anywhere in Maple World. The tenth buddy must be added before December 19th, 2009 to be eligible.
Event 2: Get a job!
Level up and select your first job to receive an in-game weapon that’ll be sure to give you an extra edge over others! You can choose to be any one of these:
- Aran
Ø Aran
- Cygnus Knight
- Dawn Warrior
- Night Walker
- Wind Archer
- Blaze Wizard
- Thunder Breaker
- Explorer
- Warrior
- Thief
- Bowman
- Magician
- Pirate

Aran Coming to GMS on December 9th
0It seems to be confirmed that the new major class in MapleStory, Aran, is coming to MapleGlobal on December 9th, 2009. This has not been confirmed by Nexon America or the MapleStory administrators but the general consensus in the community is that December 9th is the big day. However, my personal opinion is that Aran will be released no earlier than December 14th. Why? The Aran events end on December 14th. It wouldn’t make sense to release a class while events preluding the class were still in progress.
The Aran is an ice-based polearm class that, like the Cygnus Knights, has awoken to defeat the Black Mage. I could go into further details, but it would be easier if you just referred to our breaking story on the Aran class made in June.

MapleSEA To Get Aran Class This Year!
0MapleSEA has always been about the same level as GlobalMS. MSEA got the Knights of Cygnus, GMS got Koc, MapleSEA got the Pirate class first, then we got it. Basically MSEA has been getting content first. There was much speculation over when GMS or MSEA would get Pirates or who would get it first, or when MSEA or GMS will get KoC first? Now there is much speculation over the new Aran Class. Currently KMS is the only version of Maple Story that has this class, but will MSEA get it first or will GMS get it? By these images that were found by Me(Impulse) and by one of our members DragonDraco.

In this image is says that “Aran is coming and that you will not have to wait until next year.”
So, we know that MSEA will be getting it sometime this year.

In this image MapleSEA talks about the unique combo system of the Aran Class and that “Aran is coming to SG and MY SOON! Let’s just say all Maplers are gonna have a super fun end to 2009! *wink*.”
From this image we can tell that they will be getting the Aran Class around the end of 2009. Nexon has not yet dropped any hints on this class that we know of yet.
MapleSEA already has vicious hammer and is soon to get Kaede castle from the new banner they have on their website.
