Nexon News Network

Hello Nexon gamers!

Welcome to the Nexon News Network forums! If you’ve seen the forums, Maple-News, or Colhen then you’ve probably noticed the “N3″ logo popping up quite a bit. We thought it would be fun to confuse the hell out of you guys leave hints on various websites. I’m sure the question on everyone’s mind is: What the heck is N3?

The Nexon News Network

The Nexon News Network or N3 as we like to call it is a collection of news websites dedicated to Nexon games. Inspired by the pending release of BlockParty.com, we thought it might be cool to create a website where all Nexon gamers could easily find the latest news through feeds for their favorite Nexon games. We then took it a step further by creating a forum that would encompass each website in the network and each game that it focused on so no matter what game you play, you could interact with all different types of people. The goal in all this is to create a large community of Nexon gamers and news sites so whether you play MapleStory, Vindictus, Mabinogi, Dungeon Fighter Online, or any other Nexon games you can readily find the latest news for your favorite game(s) and interact with those who play the same game or games you do and meet those who don’t! Whether you only play one or five Nexon games there’s a place for you here at N3!

We hope to create a thriving community here at N3 and hopefully expose gamers to other Nexon games that they may not have tried. Who knows, you might find a game you love!

What’s different?

Nothing has changed other than the forum URL and platform.

To Colhen users: your accounts and posts have been imported to the N3 forums. Just log in with whatever information you used on your previous forum and ta-daa! Everything is just as you left it. Some users may have to re-upload their avatars.

To Maple-News users: Nothing has changed other than the board URL and logo. All your accounts, posts, and avatars are just as you left them. All you have to do is log in using the new URL (http://forums.nexonnews.net).

Our Goal

Our goal is to create a thriving community of Nexon gamers and offer players from all Nexon games a place to interact, meet new people, and talk about their favorite games! We encourage all users to tell their friends and spread the word in-game! We can’t do this without you guys!

Join the Network

Do you run a news website for a Nexon game that’s not already part of the network? We’re looking for more websites! If so send us an e-mail at contact@nexonnews.net with the title “Join the Network”. We are not limited to only Nexon America games but your website must be in English! Every site receives a link on our portal page and a news feed linking back to their website.

Welcome to N3 and let’s make this community the best it can be!

iTCG Online Service is Closed!

This maybe some old news, but it has recently come to my and a few other staff members attention that the Maple Story iTCG Online Service has been terminated. They have canceled it, and suggest we play Nexons other fun titles. Theres no reason why they canceled it, but it might have been because of inactivity, or they just thought it should be discontinued. Either way it will be missed! I guess it’s bye bye to another great part of Nexons Gaming Experience!

This is not a hoax. This is not one of those “private” websites that make people sign up and answer ridiculous surveys from different advertisement companies, just to gain enough points so they can buy Nexon Cash Cards to use on whatsoever they choose. Nope, the company i am taking about isn’t a private company…but a company that you know [would] do this. Who am I talking about?

It’s Nexon.

They are starting to join hundreds of private companies that offer you (yes, I mean you, the consumer [player]) to take part in surveys and earn cash or in this case Nexon Cash.

Why?

Because, they want money. But more importantly, they see those private companies gaining profits just because they offer people money after they complete in useless garbage advertisement. So… why not. Besides…you are playing for FREE

From experience, I have tried these many serives before from many private companies, (not nameing any.)

The only thing is that you need alot of points to gain the reward, like for instance.

Private ad companies: “You need to complete 20 surveys just to earn $5.” And that’s just five dollars, you need $10 just to earn a 10$ gift card… So that doesn’t work.

From Nexon: “Complete offers to gain 131NX, Complete offers to gain 813NX”. You see where I am going, the fact is that, Nexon is in this “market” and apparently doing quite well. Why go though all that trouble, when I can just earn pieces of Nexon Cash bit-by-bit.

Both of these methods work, but Nexon is the one that (for me) stands out to be the best.

[A Nexon survey experiment:] After you complete the survey, they e-mail you the amount of nexon cash earned, and that’s it…you’ve got your 300NX, or 5,000NX, or 21,000NX from Nexon.

Drop a comment, is Nexon smart? Dumb? Would this kill the private companies? Or just pointing out that I have a mistake in my writting? Share your thoughts and let’s see how this works out for both the player and the company.

iTCG Nexon's excuse?

2nd Beta Poster

Last year Nexon America had been delivering many-many new games features to Maplestory~PopTag. But one in particular is the release of iTCG Online…

Now iTCG Online is a game that is based on it’s “brother” game Maplestory. Most of the equips/items/monsters/etc, are from the game itself.

(Background: iTCG Online is a free Nexon game that only needs to have a web browser open to experience. The game is sort of a like when you play with Yu-Gi-Oh/Pokemon cards. They are attacks, skills, items, trade, deck building. And they are all virtual.)

But it seems like Nexon is slacking off in their lead game (Maplestory). Apparently they put more work in iTCG, than making Maplestory a better MMORPG for the rest of us. If you observed the past year (2009) Maplestory South East Asia (MSEA), had gotten a wide varrity of new maps/places/items, you name it! The people in Global Maplestory, however, had been struggling behind them one patch after another, (we are about maybe 1~2 months behind MSEA.)

I am not criticizing iTCG Online, I am just saying that wouldn’t it be nice to have: The Ninja Castle? Neo Tokyo? or any other maps that other servers: KMS~MSEA (Korean Maplestory~ Maplestory South East Asia)?

It just seems like Nexon is putting up an excuse or a cover so that the Nexon community wouldn’t be AS mad that they don’t have as many features as other version?

Leave us a comment on your perspective below. Maybe I am just crazy, but who knows…
