The Maple News Network was created in July of 2007 by Savage and friends. MNN is comprised of the main site, Maple-News.com, which is the first and only MapleStory news website. Is MapleStory Coming to the iPhone?

I received an e-mail yesterday with a link to a YouTube video showing what a potential MapleStory iPhone app would look like using Photoshop. I honestly thought it was the real thing when I first saw the video!

The creator posted a short synopsis on the video page.

Have you ever wanted to play MapleStory from your iPhone or iPod Touch? Well, that feeling was very mutual so I bring to you iPhoneMS. A full fledged version of MapleStory with a redesigned UI to accommodate running on a much smaller screen.

Unfortunately, this is simply a mockup of how the UI might look, and how the game might play on an iPhone. I am not making an actual app. This was all made in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.

    Hmm…Nice idea, but unrealistic altogether. This already happend before; in 2006, Nexon announced a DS version of Maplestory, and to this day no development reports ever came =/

    If this happens though, I’m willing to bet that within 10 years, the successors of the iphone will dominate the software market, and laptops will become a thing of the past.

    First off, you lack any respect to anyone who you deem to be wrong; there is another way to say that someone is wrong; who’d listen to the likes of you when you lack any respect towards other opinions? And second, whether or not Savage “took the news from ragezone”, NEWS IS NEWS. PERIOD.

    When Michael Jackson died, you didn’t see the L.A. times saying “hey, new york times, you’re stealing our main article for monday!”

    Information and news should be made public; who died in heaven and restricted news to certain sites? Besides, its logically impossible to keep information to one public site-it will spread, regardless of your opinions.

    The world does not need to be aware of your ignorance and narrow-mindness. Do you honestly expect all sites to give FULL AND COMPLETE DETAILS THAT THEY DIDNT SIMPLY COPY NEWS? YOU CAN’T “STEAL” FACTS; OTHERWISE YOU SHOULD ACCUSE EVERY SINGLE 2,000,000+ WEBSITES FOR STEALING NEWS FROM OTHER SITES.

    Nexon has been suggesting a Maplestory DS game release in 2006, but there has been no updates what-so-ever.

    And Marcel, I’m not sure, but I think the video is real (but the iphone game is definitely a fake).

    Oh, also, whatda, please stop critisizing Savage and Maple-news so much; you’re nitpicking. Honestly, if you hate the website, then refrain from going to the site; no one has to listen to your hate comments and rants.

    @Wind, There was/is a DS version of the game but most think the idea died. An Iphone app could be possible but the processor would have to be greatly improved to play it. Also if it did come out it wouldn’t be able to play online(this goes for both DS and Iphone) for the same reason. Also What seems kind of douchey.

    Though, if this is added, not even your computers will lag, your iPhone will lag too xD, its 1.5gb + setup is 1gb, unless they can compress it into a smaller file, it shouldn’t be a good idea

    HIHI, don’t worry-thats why it won’t ever happen.

    Nexon is busy focusing on KEEPING their current consumers to keep playing their game; recession=less MMORPG sales.

    I don’t think they’re ready for a huge gamble with the iphone; one mistake and say goodbye to Nexon’s pot o’ gold.

    Also, the controls would make it really hard for Jumping Quests and areas where good jumping skills are necessary.

    With this, it’s almost impossible to navigate through Kade Castle, all jumping quest maps, and maybe even the way to zakum.
