To all players of JMS, KMS, GMS, TMS, MSEA, MEurope, and all other maplestory players: Leeching is inevitable.

The creators of MS is South Korea, a capitalist nation (thanks to America and the U.N.), and capitalists, per se, love money. Period.

let's all think of a scenario on how to stop leeching:

The main parts of leeching starts with:

1-The leecher pays anything of value (real money, meso, nx, valuable items, etc.)

2-The stronger player accepts the money & trains the leecher (or scams them, but it's only about 15% of the time)

3- The leecher can become lvl120+ within a day (not kidding; within a TOTAL of 22 hours, one of my friends achieved lvl 116, so technically its not impossible)

To stop this, Nexon America must address the following things:

Massive meso/item Trading-By allowing too much valuables and money to be transferred at any given time, this allows real world trading and makes leeching easier. If you decide to control it, the result will be a CHAOTIC GAME ECONOMY.

Adjust all PQs- Take the Monster Carnival PQ for example: generally, the players have around the some-what similar lvls, so restricting lvl differences between leecher and the workers make no large impact.

Since by allowing each side to win in a pattern, both teams must benefit. The game programmers can't simply make that you can't win once and then lose-that allows one team to win twice or win once with a tie, while the other team can only get 1 loss and 1 tie at best.

The evils of capitalism spreads to any MMORPG; Runescape, Ragnarok, WOW (World of Warcraft), and most certainly Maplestory are not immune to this.

If you can stop leeching with a HUGE impact, then congradulations-You just solved one of the biggest probelms of the Western World that not even the richest man or the U.S. president couldn't solve.

For hermits, if depends on your funding, items, and whether you're dexless or not. What exactly do you mean leech is gone? (I haven't been playing GMS for a while) You can always "leech" in bosses-in fact, lvl110+ hermits with at least a steele to crystal ilbi should be able to handle it without probelms......Just do zakuma and etc.

*NOTE: You can go train in Leafre against skeles, but that just takes a long time-try get to lvl190+; you require over a BILLION exp for 1 lvl.

I'm just curious-what do you mean all the leafre parties are gone?

Hello there again Savage.

"Leeching may not seem like a serious problem, but it bypasses the point of the game and in many ways the equivalent of hacking, minus the 3rd party programs."

Really? I thought the point of the game is to have fun.

"Some of you may ask, “Okay, so what’s so wrong with leeching?” Leeching, like hacking, ruins the game. Training is one of MapleStory’s most basic features. By leeching, you’re bypassing the time it takes to achieve those levels and players who actually trained to those levels over time will have basically wasted their time."

People who do things the legit way always get burned. -.-
On another point, if you're playing the game just to get to level 200, you are playing for the wrong reason.

Although the main "objective" of the game is to reach level 200, games were invented to have fun with. And if someone is playing Maplestory because they think it WILL be fun (when they're level 70+/whatever), then they shouldn't play. It's not worth it, especially with all the bad experiences you will have along the way getting there.

I get that leeching is unfair but for me personally I find it extremely difficult to train. Not only because grinding takes such vast amounts of time, but also because usually if I grind for even five minutes my wrists start to burn like crazy making it painful to play. I'd really like to get to fourth job by training, but how am I supposed to do that without my hands falling off? I'd rather not risk my health just so I can train my character to whatever level.

I did train my character from level 1 all the way to level 85 which took me about three years with periods of quitting in between. But I don't wanna spend another three years trying to get to level 120 little by little. It just takes too long and I don't have the patience for that, along with not wanting to risk my health. I don't really understand how people manage to grind their way to those high levels and meanwhile not have any health complications.

Which is why leeching could soon become another option for me. I don't want to just stop playing the game because I can't train to level 120. So just to let you know, some people might have another reason for their leeching, like I do.
