KMS Aran Trailer

A new class coming to KMS (Korean MapleStory) on July 9th, 2009. Rumored to be an ice-based job and related to the warrior class, but different all the same.

With the latest KMS website maintenance, the Aran Trailer was released on their website. The trailer is similar to the Knights of Cygnus’ one, and it will show you some of the upcoming content.

First of all, you will see some new NPCs. Those are from Lienne (or Rien), the new upcoming area where you’ll be able to advance as an Aran. Then, you’ll see some of the Aran’s Skills in the video, and a wolf near a character with white hair at the end. They put a white-haired character in the video probably because the Aran job is an ice-based job (and so will be the town); the wolf, instead, is the level 200 Aran mount. There are more mounts for the Aran job:

Level 50

Level 150

Also, at around 00:12 you will see a character stuck in the ice, screaming. That’s the Black Magician’s seal which sealed the Aran people in the ice for hundreds of years. The Aran people were a group of warriors who tried to defeat the evil force of the Black Magician long time ago, so the Black Magician sealed them in the ice. Now that they’re finally free, they’re back, to help with the fight against the Black Magician. I don’t know ALL the story, but that should be a good “piece” of it.
You can see their pld fight against the Black Magician at 00:05.
At around 00:25 you can see a short fight of an Aran character against some monsters. Those are modified versions of the Leafre monsters. Same HP and everything, they just are different. They look like.. more evil. Probably under the influence of the Black Magician’s evil power, or something like that.

Most importantly, the trailer shows at the end that the Aran class is coming out on the official KMS servers on July 7th.

    So when is this so called “Black Magician” ever going to come out? I thought it would be after the Cygnus major patch. Is there really this “Black Magician” thing or they are just trying to use it as an excuse to come out with more related content? Lol, confusing.

    As soon as this class is officially finished and released for the public I will actually try to gather information for this, as of now I have just got little bits of info.

    @ Naro: I know right? :D D:

    @Dave: The Black Magician has been mentioned by NEXON a lot so.. it can be one of those things that NEXON slowly hints and then releases out of the blue, but as of now it is most likely just an excuse to release this content or just to kinda spice up the story line. You never know NEXON may be developing this right now so I don;t know I will look into it.

    Its the fleeting hope that GMS will get stuff like this that keeps me playing MapleStory. It seems we end up getting (almost) everything that other versions do…just a lot later. Let’s hope this one comes sooner than the others.

    The Black Magician is the main baddie in MapleStory. In the trailer, you see some kind of demon wearing a cloak with hood. That’s Mr. Black. In Nautilus Port, there is a quest that requires you to kill a monster called “Black Magician’s Subordinate”. I guess this is Nexon’s attempt to create a storyline. The artwork is nicely done, skills well developed and mounts aplenty.

    If anyone from bootes here willing to sell pole arms that and are scrolled im willing to buy those for 5-50mil depending on stats and1-4mil for average

    Leon, to answer your question, yes-there is no job advancement.

    If you play KMS, you’ll find out that you’re just getting your original abilities back (you lost your lvl200 skills when you became a frozen popsicle)

    Aran isn’t a class-its actually the name o.o

    *NOTE: If you’re gonna play Aran, remove anything that might give you lag-you’ll need to retain your combo, since Aran is based on a combo combat system

    o.0 I quit my KMS Aran at lvl 116………And alreay in GMS I see lvl130s+ Arans in just ONE day.

    It kinda makes me sad *sobs in a corner*
    (Not that I have any right to complain; I used my bishop to train the Aran =P)

    My #1 favorite Aran class character: Maha
    -Complains alot
    -Calls you a “stupid idiotic owner”
    -Is mentally unstable (you’ll find out what I mean when you try and take Aran’s 3rd job advancement)

    MAJOR QUESTION: Is there a way to type something in english, japanese, or korean and translate it automatically? Because some of the korean words just can’t be put into the American English. Like all the asian puns revolves around things such as the Korean word for dog also meaning crab and etc.

    P.S. This really is the HISTORY’S STRONGEST NOOB (BEGINNER) EVER IN GMS
