This job, Aran, is actually one of the most creative videos on how you start out as an Aran.
It actually has a moral storyline from the BEGINNING!

Revision of the storyline:

You start out as a mighty Lv 200 Aran.

Their city.. was attacked by the Black Magician.. first with monsters.. then.. with fire. The people in the village were waiting for a lost kid.. they didn’t know where he was and.. Helena (the girl NPC) told the explorer (the guy in the video) to go look for him before they took off in their only escape of a giant airship.. (They were probably going to escape to the Altair Camp. Makes sense because you see Helena there too.)

(Once you found the kid, he’s actually a replica of you.) You asked him to go back to the ship where everyone can escape. In the mean time, Black Magician burnt the tents and everything else.. even his own monsters.. there was so much fire that even the Black Magician’s army was gone (as you can see, when he goes back, there aren’t monsters, but when he went to take the kid there were).. and they (the people) had to escape as soon as possible.. the explorer (you) arrived with the kid.. and gave him to Helena. She told the traveler (also you) to get in the boat, but he/she refused – he/she wanted to fight with the Black Magician to defeat him and save the village. But he was too strong. And he froze the Aran.

Well Helena and the rest of the people got to escape in the boat, safe to Altair Camp (Ellin Forest if you haven’t noticed what Altair Camp was) but you were trapped in your icey doom. Probably thousands of years later (Because I’m trying to compare this with Altair Camp being in the past ‘cuz you have to be in a time machine to get there) you got rid of your icey doom from a mysterious girl who supposedly “found you”. You are back to LV 1 (probably amnesia or something). The “village” that you tried to save is now a solid icey… place called… Rien. And now that you got rid of your doom, you now can try to find your way back to what your main goal was… to defeat the Black Magician.

I have been reading a lot of angry comments calling us biased, NEXON lovers, private server lovers, etc. We enjoy writing for Maple-News and we do see that certain people feel that we’re not doing our job. All our articles are strictly unbiased unless tagged under the Editorials category. Staff and viewers alike are encouraged to voice their opinions in the comments. Maple-News does not accept or condone any of the opinions held by anyone in the comments…whether it’s written by an administrator or a member. When judging the accuracy of news, please judge the news article and not the comments.

We have stated that private servers are illegal. That is not a biased statement. It is a fact. MapleStory private servers are illegal as they violate intellectual property and NEXON has stated this time and time again. People who make servers are breaking the law, but it is not our place to judge those people.

There has been quite a lot of fighting in the comment boards between members and other members, and members and staff. Before you make a comment that attacks Maple-News or another member, please think twice and refrain from flaming the person. We are all human beings and we should keep that in mind before acting like animals. We will be implementing a list of Comment Rules that will outline the proper behavior on Maple-News.com. Those who break these rules will face consequences.

Please keep in mind that we choose to run this site out of our own free will. We do not get paid and we are only guys and gals who like writing and like MapleStory. If we have confused anyone prior to this, we sincerely apologize.
