6. OWNERSHIP, LICENSING AND RESTRICTIONS ON USE.

Your License to Nexon America. Wow… Nexon now rivals the RIAA.

Whatever, but I think Nexon actually hurt themselves by doing this (if they did). Even though it might temporarily slow private server growth, doing this allow private servers to effectively hide themselves.

I think Nexon stopped contacting private server owners because Lloyd probably found out private server owners began avoiding the DMCA by hosting servers outside of America :/

Their goal is to get players back so they can make more money.
If they wanted to make money they would take the Private Server developer’s ideas and put them in to Global.

Dude the owner of Nexon makes 400mil a year, why would he fucking care about people talking about private servers. And the coders working on GMS, suck ass.
hard working my way fck. They barely even listen to players.
They can’t even code the ITCG right, they also copy .wz files from KMS, onto GMS.
If your gonna call Nexon hard-working, think again.

I do not see any issue here. Nexon has the right to defend it’s intellectual property.
But. I for one enjoy private servers, I like them. I’m sure many people will agree, and those that don’t… Well, why should you care? I am entitled to play whatever I want.

On another note, I’m impressed with the modding capacity for Maplestory, Nexon should consider something like hosting “modding” servers (basically private servers).
Owners can rent them directly from Nexon. Would this not be a good idea? The profit would be substantial. The owners could change the source and promote MapleStory, pay Nexon a fee every month, and people would be happy. Not everyone wants low rates. Modding is amazing, it turns games like Bethesda’s Oblivion or Egosoft’s X3 into very long lasting and fun games.
Besides, MapleStory as we know it will not last forever. All games fade and die. You must change your policies to survive.

By the way, xtremetop100 has plenty more enemies then Nexon. What makes you think Nexon has anything to do with this?
There are private servers on there for a number of games. Some of those companies are much, MUCH bigger than Nexon and also dislike the idea of private servers.
Anyways, no big deal in general. There are literally hundreds of pages like xtremetop100, you just haven’t heard of them. When one service goes down, another fills the void. Just like when one private server goes down, many more step up to the plate.

Nexon is really retarded if they think all the crap they’re pulling is going to make me come back to global.

What WOULD make me come back is reducing grind (PERMANENTLY, NOT FRIGGIN’ EVENTS OR ANY OF THAT SHIT), better GMs, and better support (think AsiaSoft).

nexon is just greedy they know the game sucks but their too selfish and lazy to improve it why? cuz their too busy stealing little childrens money who ever says its better than wow or silkroad or maybe latale i dont care u sir are stupid their community SUCKS and the company does too btw…if u look at the private servers THEY ARE MORE ADVANCED then nexon theirs rebirth, PVP, and the chiken trade (by sydney MS) oh any monster modding which i think nxon already can d. nexon is just ruthless and greedy
