The Maple News Network was created in July of 2007 by Savage and friends. MNN is comprised of the main site, Maple-News.com, which is the first and only MapleStory news website. Other sites such as MapleBlog and the MapleStory Fail Blog are also part of the network in addition to news and music radio stations.
Here at MNN we value unbiased news that can educate and interest the average mapler and gamer about their community and coming features. Maple News is known and respected by Nexon America and expects to expand to other Nexon games in coming months.
We strive to bring you the latest and most accurate MapleStory news and bringing together an intelligent and entertaining community.
MapleGeek Returns
Maple Geek, a MapleStory private server that closed in August 2008 because of internal conflicts has announced they will be re-opening their doors.
MapleGeek.com:
Hello Geek, as you may already know MapleGeek closed due to some problems and false rumors caused by some people. We have decided to re-open our doors once again, but there will be new changes coming out within the next couple of weeks and months.
MapleGeek will be opening a brand new community. All members are required to re-register and we will slowly try to integrate the old MapleGeek.
If you received a newsletter from us, that means you are one of our old members and are more than welcome to join us again. You will be put in a special group as a reward for returning. Please keep in mind that we sent out around 80,000 messages. It will take time to get every old member into their special group.
Now that we have most of the information clear out, all you have to do is click community to join us.
At a time when NEXON is taking down servers left and right, it seems as bad a time as any to re-open a private server. Maple Geek has put a big red target on their back. It looks like they’re asking for trouble.

Well, apparently the taking down of private servers pretty much stopped
There hasn’t been a major private server take down since CareStory.

I think its just that they can’t take down the big ones anymore, because the ones that are left are the ones that have somehow found a way to dodge the DMCA+Nexon. I don’t think nexon would waste time with smaller servers either though … waste of time for them.

Do you guys want the honest truth? Nexon can’t do anything until Odin loses. I mean, you should take the DMCA’s into consideration but they are just mere bluffs. They are just trying to scare everyone. They sent Desu 6 DMCA’s and all that happened was them forcefully losing their server by their hoster. They could easily reopen.

They have alwayys been a noob. Owner doesnt know how to handle a server like me. I am dumb, I dont know why i opened hitsums. I guess I only wanted player and robbing cash of people. i agree GeekMS does suck like my server.

Jon/Locolijo doesn’t even own/is an owner of this server… He isn’t even an admin/GM/Mod.
The people there right now is mostly comprised of old MG staff and members and other members/staff from a different server that is currently merging with MG.
