Maplestory2 as Predicted or Fake?

Summary:
There is many confusions and worrying going around about Maplestory2 and EverPlanet. Some rumors are real some are fake. Is EverPlanet just a copy of Maplestory or Maplestory2?

Maplestory in 3D hmmmm…have you ever wondered? Well if you have, wait till you see EverPlanet. EverPlanet is developed by NCLIPSE and published by Nexon. Everplanet is currently in closed beta for Korea. Ever since the game was released in closed beta, lot’s of people have been saying that it’s too much like Maplestory or “This is Maplestory2″. These rumors can go on forever, but which ones are true and which ones are false? From my sources, EverPlanet is it’s individual game, but why does it look so much like Maplestory? Mazefind on Youtube has said: “Nclipse (EverPlanet dev.) is made up [of] staff who take part in the Crazy Arcade, KR, FIFA Online, and MapleStory. [The] art style of EverPlanet seems like MapleStory, but MapleStory ≠ EverPlanet “. So… confusing isn’t it? Why did Nexon give the name as “EverPlanet” and not “Maplestory2″, or actually announcing that their will actually be a Maplestory 3D version. Stephen from MapleTip said: “As evident from the previous post about Everplanet, MapleStory 2 will be coming out as announced by Nexon America.
Beginning sometime in May (close to MapleStory’s anniversary), all players will be moved to MapleStory 2 and players will be able to experience a whole new gaming experience, in 3D!
All players will be able to keep their equipment, guilds, levels, pets, and so on. New features include a higher level cap and an ability to have a larger buddy list. Thanks to Nexon’s business model, there will not be a fee to play for the game, but as always, you will have to buy from the cash shop to get anywhere.
MapleStory classic will remain for a couple more months to allow players to transition to the new game. Nexon expects a full transfer by August.” Now, this made me run back through my thoughts…Maplestory2 for real? How could this be? Is Nexon actually making EverPlanet a Maplestory in 3D, and are they changing transfer all the Maplestory accounts to EverPlanet, and do you think this is going to happen in only KMS? they may loose some players for this and it looks like crap. I am for sure going to have an hard time playing.
I doubt this will happen. This was a rumor cooked up by MMOsite the last time. This might be an April Fools Joke. Considering the updates that still need to be done in the 2D version, I doubt this version will be released (if it even exists).
The one thing that attracts people to MapleStory is that it’s not 3D. Making it 3D would severely hurt the business.
Nexon is making more stupid games like this I am sure they lose more players by making this crap

I play MapleStory because 3D games give me a headache. If they force us to move over to MapleStory2, I’m quitting and going to find either 1) Another 2D MMO, or 2) Join a 3D game I actually care about. TOR sounds like it should be awesome…
I think half of the appeal of MapleStory is the 2D world. I know that’s why me and my family play it and still dump money into it regardless of all its flaws. You can sneeze and hit a ton of 3D MMOs, and the reason I play Maple rather than these other MMOs is because of the art and the platforming game system.
However, presuming that nothing’s been said on the Nexon site about this, and it’s only a month until May and a forced transition to a 3D world would be pretty… you know… BIG…
I’m going to hope the forced transition is an April Fool’s joke. I don’t think a 3D Maple TWO/another game called Everplanet with similar art in 3D is a bad idea, as long as the original remains. I might try it… as long as I can keep my 2D MapleStory. It’s the only MMO I play because of the game-style.
Eventhough it looks cool and cute and stuffs, it’s gonna be harder training and earning mesos.

Ever planet is not a joke its Closed Beta is out in Korea now. One of my friends is a beta tester. If they took some of the stuff from Maple is another question. The developers might be the same so they might have the same ideas which would cause it to look like Maple but believe me its nothing like MS once you play it.

If this comes out, I’ll quit Maplestory. I HOPE its not true o.O’
1-Graphics are rather dissapointing compared to 2D MS
2-The towns seem too “blocky”; the towns looked better right now.
3-On the plus side, private servers with 2D MS will be getting a big boost in registrations and support.
I regret that I may see the day when Maplestory loses its grip on reality.

For the love of pete, the 3d Maplestory has shitty graphics. I would prefer the old one.
If MS-2D will be removed, time to scour some good private server out there.
