WOW! Nexon is a bunch of backstabbing bitches and they need to learn to put their customers first. All they fuckin care about is money. Fuck you Nexon I am never playing your servers again because this helped realize how much of assholes your whole team is. Everyone reading this I suggest you quit GMS and help us fight Nexon back. Fuck them let them have minimum profit since that’s all their concerned with. Have you all realized that 85% of their updates are cash shop updates? How do i feel about the recent private server closings?

I feel entirely disheartened, because private servers offered another world of maplestory that I could not have done in GMS.

All the cash items, custom content, regular activities and events.
Whens the last time have I seen an event in GMS that is enjoyable that included everyone as an audience?

Fact that now most of the reputable private servers are down in ruins, goes to show how serious Nexon is with this matter.

I have naught anything further to add but to relieve myself that I am utterly dissapointed with Nexon.

MN, I am an EX-PS owner, not because of Nexon originally, but now I will not be able to reopen my server. (Not that it bothers me THAT much.) As you guys said, Private Servers ARE illegal. I’m sure if half the server-running populations had known that before they started, they wouldn’t have opened. The other half though still don’t care. However, being a PS player myself, I have to say I can’t side with either, but at this point its kind of moot isn’t it? (If you don’t know what it means, LOOK IT UP!)

Well guys, I am ashamed that most of you support private servers. If only you realized that it’s not because Nexon is selfish, but because what private servers are doing is ILLEGAL. Copyright infringement is against the law. Things were copyrighted to be protected. Now private servers broke the law without even talking to Nexon about borrowing their stuff and Nexon has every right to have them shut down. You should be thankful that Nexon is only asking them to Cease and Disist. Nexon could have gone to court and won, and then all private server runners would be in prison for quite a while. So if it’s still in your best interest tosupport private servers, I suggest you go to jail.

I am 80% pro private servers.
I do love them a lot better and i do think playing private servers are way more fun. The communities they brought together are more nicer, and i believe leveling up faster is a better way to go.
But i do think i feel a little sorry for NEXON. It IS their game and some people are taking it and making profits off it. THEN after getting rid of a few, some immature people spazz out and insults them.
What i think NEXON should do is compromise and then learn to accept that fact that PSs will continue and they will never be able to get rid of ALL of it.
Here’s an idea, for example I only play private servers to experience high levels. Not for free NX. But they could at least make their NX cash maybe, if not cheaper, last longer. And I would like to experience a 4th job advancement, but you need like MILLIONS of exp. point to get to lvl …120?? Give us a break.
I’m sorry NEXON, i love you guys for giving us a game, but don’t be too greedy.

Yes!, by reading that post you made. I have went through the exact same experience that people have went and that was (2 – 4) years ago. Stephen was the best in Beta, then its Tiger, all of a sudden hackers appeared and screwed up the quality of Maplestory.

What dissapointed me the most is that 80% of the community hacks (or used to) and they get up to a point where they can stop and become legit again (Buying fame, getting a ZHelmet, fitting in the community, etc)

The question is what stilumated these people to go so far and hack?
The answer is simple, what “Dissapointed had pin pointed out” the horrible grinding days, mind you I’ve been playing Maplestory since it was beta where everyone was using simple VacHacks, and there was absolutely no actual decent content in it.

The exp rates are insanely outrageous, it took me 2 years of contributing my time casually to play MS only to get up to Lvl50 the hard way. In contrast it takes your average hacker about say? 1 day?
Has Nexon actually implemented a good system to fix these issues?

What am I trying to say?
GMS, MSEA and such is not worth it, nor is Nexon. They refuse to polish and deliver good customer service, and now instead of doing so they are wasting their time throwing DCMA’s at private servers.

(Heres a Hint Nexon)
Put out a x3 or even x7 event and stop tempting kids to buy NX’s, I am utterly disgusted when a child so small tries desperately to find in a social group and all you get is a MAPLEFAMILY (Roleplay in MS, moms and dads) coming out of it – falling way too far.

First of all i played a lot of online games and only maple story gived to me a brain wash…

People are agresive, only looking for someone to bully (players) only wants to take your things and the dissapear. No one is friend there, dont belive me? Give any maple weapon to your best fríend there only 2dasy u will never se him again.

But the real point is…a game?…is that a game? I thinked i has been downloading a 800 MB chat because u cant train there, dont make fun of me. Train? With that lag, with only ks, hacks, and people that says u noob, poor. People only talk to you when they want to say u are stupid (and if u play GS you should be).Oh…but that changes if u have cash..u are cool…u are pro…ithen all want to be your friend you can even have a girl in that damn thing. Its brain wash…log in and you will see only “cash cash cash buy cash cash” in the message. Even in some quest you need to use the the cash shop (meso ítems for those quest) its because they want all of their player see those things.

I played like 1 year…10hrs per day with cash i stealed my mom Money because i needed it yes like drugs thats wath nexon does with their players.
They dont care about us, their art, even dont care of those people working for them.
How could they said “its the law” noonsenses!

Guys they only care about their Money. And just as they dont care about us we dont care about their jobs.
I was an stupid for playing that game i was only a 13 years old child who wanted to play and ended with debts real Money debts.

Oh…and another thing…yes we all PS players will play v.53 forever but u “legal” mapler will play forever in kerning city maybe sleepy Wood congrats thats like V.35? because u will never lvl up.

We wanted to play and since Nexon sayed no, because u are poor, to the hell with Nexon, we will play. Thats not a crime.

This is not bs. And you babbling on about whatever just proves my point even more. For those non 1% people who didn’t return to ms, you shouldn’t have even been playing in the first place. If people can’t afford nx cash, then they can play without it. sure they might be sort of antediluvian but hey, they can still play. And taking a minimal amount of time to be a “pro” is not intended. You have to work your way through the game to be “pro” because skimming through it in half-ass way completely defeats the purpose of a game like maple story. I believe in karma, and I believe in the karma that will hit all private server supporters. If you decide never to play ms again, that’s your problem. So go ahead, be arrogant…all i have to say is this….lern2growthehellup.

Are you serious? It takes about a year of two-three hours a day playing Maple just to reach “pro”. Is a year minimal to you?

Also, you obviously don’t know the logistics of Karma, a.k.a “What goes around comes around”. You say that we will get what’s coming, yet hasn’t most of the private servers been shut down already? What more should Karma do to us? Hack our computers? Smite us?

Not playing Nexon MapleStory ever again is not our problem. It’s our solution. It’s Nexon’s problem because their no longer making money off of us. And what the hell does growing up have to do with playing Maple Story? Last I checked, the game was for all ages.

What Nexon doesn’t see is that their Private Servers are free advertisements. Shit, they don’t even have to pay for it, they have old users pay for their advertisements. It’s really sad that they have so many benefits from these private servers, yet none of them they wish to use.

I also love the repititional phrase of “grow up” when used in Maple context. And we’re supposed to be mentally retarded. Before you guys post, please get educated about the situation, and write something dense that’s going to contradict your fellow followers.

Nexon makes hand over fist and, is in no way threatened by PS’s.
It’s about ego. It’s about greed and power.

It’s also about more than cash shop rip offs and people not affording them.
On a PS, the place can actually have GM’s who give a shit! You know, where hacking/harassment is actually a against the rules? Where people can play for the sake of fun and not bogged down by Nexon’s crappy system, which is designed to simply force longer play rather than adding content or things to do?

Maybe, if Nexon actually cared about their players and did something to help them when they’re hacked or screwed out of cash do to fault of Nexon, PS’s wouldn’t be such a “threat”.

They’d rather say “fuck you” to people who actually paid them money and got screwed out of the items by Nexon’s shitty maintenance than simply giving the item they paid for to the player. And for what? Two freakin’ dollars? Four dollars? No money back? Fine but, why bother giving the item back when they can just have you buy it again?

I stand corrected, it’s Nexon America’s apathetic business practices I hate.
The Koreans still design the game and make it the nightmarish grindfest that draws people to PS’s though. Even still, in most cases of American and European branches of Asian video game companies, the original parent company still has final say on many aspects of distribution and policy.

No, I’ve never contacted them. I personally have never had a reason to. My friends who’ve been hacked, contacted them, had the company actually admit that the hacking occurred and still refused to act, when a representative tells you, you’ve been hacked and does nothing, I can’t imagine anyone waiting around in the off chance that two months later something may be done. Scamming, even more so.

How do you solve a hacking problem yourself? Why should you? Isn’t that the job of company?

And I’m sorry, they should reimburse you, and if scams were at all an issue, hire a team(s) to investigate such claims, don’t wait a month and then say no. If it isthat big of issue, they need to evaluate their priorites and wonder why it is such major issue. It’s part of the community and mind-set they themselves cultivated. The fact that response even takes that long is unacceptable.

Nexon goes out of their way to make victimized players feel helpless and unnoticed. The problem escalates as their limp wristed anti-hacking enforcement has created a community of hackers and thus, the amount of reports are staggering. the GM’s are largely at fault for doing an unprofessional job. It’s a grave they dug themselves, regardless.

Every server has logs that GM’s can go through and if you’re cheated out of an item do to Nexon’s fault, I see no harm in simply putting a 2 dollar item into a person’s inventory that was paid for and unused do to a known server issue. To not do so is miserly and unnecessary.

It all comes down to what they’re willing to do to insure their costumer’s safety and enjoyment of the game and it seems Nexon primarily looks out for Nexon and their players come at a distant second.

However, they do have the right to shut down private servers, sadly. It’s just a shame they don’t care enough to make their official game servers a pleasant place to be.

As for the money thing, it was hyperbole, I know adults are the primary means of income, but kids are too. Kids and teenagers who get their parents to buy them nexon cash.
