ANOTHER PRIVATE SERVER HAS BEEN TAKEN DOWN BY NEXON! [No surprise eh?]
DesuMS and KyraMS [Both very close related] had recieved a DMCA notic from Nexon just yesterday.
I was playing DesuMS yesterday, and I’ve noticed that everyone has been smegaing about getting shut down, since 3 servers just got closed that day.

I’d argee to maple, global was fun until their game got ruined. Like everything was fine until pirates? wtf? And all these crazy other stuff. They have competely ruined their game. I am quite surprised how you guys overlooked the other servers that had been taken down. My favorite server of all time next to Odin, HurricaneMS [21x21x] was shut down by Nexon as well. The server had some of the pro-est Devs around, though it wasn’t too popular with its 10 people on at a time community, it was truely amazing. Much more updates and features than the shit servers around.
Yep, Nexon is cruel. Damn them for spending years developing a game and then having hundreds of people take it as their own without permission. How inconsiderate of them!

Like most of you I feel private servers are very important, maple story is incredibly hard to lvl. I use private servers to test out different characters with different builds so I know what to do on the real thing instead of getting to like lvl 70 and realizing that the character is not what I wanted and I want a new class, and having to spend all that time lvling again. WE NEED THE PRIVATE SERVERS! Nexon, make a test server with crazy high rates so you can atleast test out builds, if not p-servers will never stop.
What a bunch of bs. I mean seriously. Nexon should just chill and realize the fact that ex – maplestory players are playing private servers. Current players are not migrating to private servers nearly as much as retired players…
I got a good question. If we ask Nexon if we can make a private server, and they say yes, (probably 1% chance) is it legal to make a server?

No nexon would never allow it. It copyright, and its taking their business away. If one person actually asked for permission and actually got permission from nexon, every one else would start asking Nexon for permission, or everyone would go to that private server.

Desu was one of the best, and in my option the BEST private server I ever played.
It was definetly easy to follow along.
The rates were absolutely perfect.
The commands were very clear and sorts.
I can’t believe Nexon has to do this.
I play’d maple one year ago, it was always the same thing. Events/Patches weren’t as exciting and sorts. And so I quit. Nexon I played Audition and now they’re moving it to a new host; which I will NOT be moving into because it just won’t be the same. NOW, my last and only game left, DESUMS.
Ugh, I hope Nexon will see how upset a lot of people are with them.

Honestly, if i was a fellow Global Maplestory Player, i would’ve been really shocked about Nexon’s thoughts about Ps’s. I would’ve quit because of the way they’ aren’t being fair. I mean come on guys? It was our choice to join Private Servers, all we just want to do is have fun. Why can’t we simply have that Nexon? DesuMs was the best Ms out there, it was just divine. I think that you have very good reasoning. Re-thinking about this all is a good idea. Sueing our fellow private servers is just .. I can’t even put this in words. Nexon says, they want us to have fun and sorts; well, we are, just with private servers. It’s still MapleStory. They should be thrilled to have so many playing their game and that people will actually go through trouble to put together one. Plus on [some] websites of the PS, they do post credits to them. It’s all our choice. Your perspective point is one that I didn’t think of, and I think it’s a great reason.
& here, I would like to thank Jordan/GoSu with the AMAZING private server.
Even though it was only a 1month –almost 2months private server, it’s fantastic.
I hope one day I would be able to play your server, and ONLY your server!

I am an ex-desu ms’er i had 120 rebirths. i really am very disspoiinted at nexon for what theyve done. firstly, id like to go through some basic arguments and say my opinion about all this.
firstly, the reason why nexon cant lower their rates is because it would be VERY asshole-ish to all those who have wasted all their time getting to high lvl’s, also maple would be overrun by high lvl noobs,(noobs is one of the things maple is notorious for,) so they should just let private servers keep running, but that would mean less customers for them; so in my opinion nexon itself should host its own private server, but if they did that the real maple would die, since everybody would migrate. there isnt an easy
solution to this.
secondly, from my own experience *ive been mapling for…4 years now? i have 2 lvl 80′s in nexon MS* Global MS has virtually NO help, NO customer service, NO GM’s, NO events, no nothing, from my personal experience, private servers are way better managed, more enjoyable and more everything than real maple.
Desuer and Desu Player have some very good points, DesuMaple was probably my favorite private server, no lagg, perfect rates, perfect item prices, everything was great.
the reason nexon MS is still in the “buisness” is because the noobs that join the real MS arent informed on private servers and arent aware on how to use them. i was amazed when i first discovered private servers, but it took me long to find out; i was trying to fidn out how to hack, because i had grown tired to lvlin when i saw a post “why hack, when u can just play in a private server?” that lead me to HopeMS, and thats where i started.
summing up, in my opinion, the best way for us to combat nexon is to get private servers running somewhere they wont be able to do anyhting about it, like in the middle east for example, and manage it from far, sort of organize all the private server lovers and do this. AND the MOST IMPORTANT PART: making Global MS’ers aware of private servers, and making them simple, and easy to work with. the way to do this would be to get support from famous websites like besilmarket, and hidden-street, they would diffuse the info fast. another good way would be spamming on normal maple.
if we could get enough maplers to leave maple and join our side, soon nexon would be loosing out and they would have to do something about it, something BIG, because real nexon really needs to change, because once people see private servers, global MS is just a boring game with no support or gm’s.
i think this is all possible, and lastly, RIP to desu-ms and to Kyra-ms.
and if anybody from nexon reads this, take this all into consideration, try out a private server, and think logically, its WAY better than real ms. teleport NPC’s, rebirths, fast lvl’ing, the fact you can buy lots of stuff at npc’s, there are GM’s always online and interacting with players, and much more.
RIP GLOBAL MS.

OMG Nexon seriosly. i used tu play MS Global but it took forever to lvl up and low drops made the game really boring. When i found DeSu MS i was hooked beacause it was a game that you could reach a high lvl and go back to lvl 1 but MS Global it takes forever to lvl. I rescently began playing DesuMS because of global taking too long. And my friend and I and his group of friends have been having a great time playing DesuMS but nexon just can’t take the fact that their game is too hard to level and the money making process just sucks. If global were to lower the ammount of Exp required for one level i think most of their population would come back. But Nexon is just too damn stubborn. R.I.P DesuMS

Hey, seriously, you dont’t have to say the word F*** every line, do you? And by the way, The current Maplestory (mainly GMS) is messed up, but still, you’re completely wrong that no-one will play MS.
The main reason why is because theres only about 1,000,000 people playing a Maplestory private server at the most, whereas Nexon has 60,000,000 people playing Maplestory alone.
The 1,000,000 players won’t even make a dent in Nexon’s community.
I understand why you’re pissed off at Nexon, but we all have to face the facts: privateservers, even though they are generally better than Nexon’s MS, have no control over Nexon’s players. Many people that play private servers also play MS-so in the end, life will go on for Nexon with or without the private servers.

Why doesn’t private server list sites like xtremetop100 and others just post up a redirector for people trying to go on to the site saying
“By going into this site, you agree that You must not, under any circumstances, be involved/reporting/working for: Nexon, Blizzard, etc. Any attempts to contact them after agreeing with this will be taken into court (author’s note: or something like that =3 )”
That way, Nexon would have a harder time (even one more day for a private server’s life is good enough)

Hey, “Desu Lover”, try out the new v75 private servers. Go to any search engine site and type in “maplestory privateserver” and you’ll see sites containing links to them. The GM’s in the modern v75 seem to be active, good maps, edited alot of GMS (you can tell the difference).
I know I’m sounding like an advertisement for private servers, but right now, they’re not bad.

i srsly hate that nx too. i loved SimplicityMS (totally out of subject, but same thing as nexon taking down a server.) Nexon really needs to stop suing kids for money, you pay like 30 dollars for one nx card and the items EXPIRE in 90 days. What the hell. i have played desums for around 1 month and i found that it was a good ps with good gms and fair autobans unlike some ps.i got around 150 rebirths and was enjoying the game with good friends and a nice guild the reasons why nexon wants to close ps is because they feel that ps are taking away too much money even though it’s suppose to be a free game you bloody hypocrites nexon and i feel that many people don’t play ps is due to the lack of ads it took me more than a year just to know about ps and also the community in GMS sucks there are alot of people who are just young stupid children who do not understand how to download ps and only know how to waste money buying nx also there also alot of rude people who think that just because they are high lvl in GMS they can just ks anyone they like for example if you so happen to talk intellegently to them they will bring their ‘main’ to come ks you and their guild too
PS does not have any of those problems try it yourself nexon try going into the fm and start talking to random people i bet they will ignore you in ps everyone is like family and everyone is friendly also there are no ks wars in the game due to the fact that if someone comes into their map the person in the map will just party them which helps the players with lower rebirths SO DESUMS and KYRAMS ARE GREAT PS SO NEXON READ THIS AND ALLOW DESUMS AND KYRAMS TO COME BACK
OMFG! Did they close like 100 of private servers? o.o , If thats so, Then everyone will and ever will hate NEXON, Cuz they are so mean, we dont like the NEXON rates at maplestory. They suck!! We want faster levling and easyer to get things and that, The noobs want to play MS private because they do not know how to play the ”real” Ms. Then they play private servers to learn how to play real MS and now they cant, and many will quit MS for this reason. Nexon shuts down and sues private servers for the fact that they are illegal, “rouge” servers that violates NEXON’s copyrighted game, MapleStory. If they want faster leveling, they just have to wait till the BigBang patch. I play KMS and it took me a few minutes to get to level 20 UNFUNDED. So everyone quit complaining already.
Why wasn’t RydahMS, a illegal, rogue private Maplestory shut down? It “stole” content from Maplestory, and the “great” company of Nexon?
It is because RydahMS took the time to create a ToS that would not allow Nexon to get its hands on it. The Terms of Service of RydahMS says that no people of Nexon or any people associated with the company may be able to play the game. These private servers were shut down because they forgot to put a ToS in.
If Nexon tries to find out more of the game, they are already violating the ToS of RydahMS, and they are already in trouble. Either the private servers had a weak ToS, or they didn’t have it at all.
yeah youre right… if you have made a ToS on your private server,and made like rydahms did to keep away nexon, i guess they wont try to violate your ToS.
If you are reading this, and used to play DesuMS, I feel sorry for you. Private Servers are a great way to stop playing Maplestory, and another great way to begin your path to Maplestory. They are the gates. Nexon decided to close these gates. I guess I can say fuck.
To those who think Nexon is closing it down for no reason…unless its funded by someone or something else, a company needs money. Nexon is trying to get it…using CHEAP marketing tactics. Even though Maplestory is a “fucking free game”, the company needs money to sustain it. Try to reason, please. =)
For those of you wondering what side I’m on, its the private servers’. I’m kinda sick of the ks’ers, jacked people of GMS. I’m not going to bother getting a proxy or a Korean Social Security number for KMS and MSEA, EMS, etc. Seeing the awful stories, instead of good and funny stories, on the unofficial forum for Maplestory, Basilmarket, is sad.

Just because RydahMS has a page with some Terms of Service, does not mean that Nexon will get in trouble for violating it. Nexon’s ToS is an actual legal document that lists its rules and legal terms. RydahMS’s ToS is not a legal document. If they tried to get their ToS legalized, the RydahMS team is the one who would get in trouble because it is easy to see that RydahMS is an illgeal private server, just like every other “rogue” server.

There are many private server that gives you free cash. Example:-
Bankai Story (GMS) – Pay 100 mesos for cash
CelinoSEA (MSEA) – Lvl up by 20 to gain cash or do a party quest
U look at the part of for their own personal commercial gain. I was thinking of hmm does private servers do that?? Can they actually extract enough donations to earn money for themselves and pay server bills??? And also the hurtin business part it will seem like a pile of shit in a similar scenario a bread shop opened in somewhere it sold very gd bread but suddenly a new bread shop opened next door and offered cheaper and tastier bread so what the bread shop do?? It attempts to rid the competition by saying that the bread recipe was stolen and modified by the bread shop next door. Boom the shop closes down and the original shop turns happy…… Then the next day five more better than original bread shops appear and what the shop does again??? It repeats the same procedure and boom all closed and then the same cycle again and again… I would like to comment on neon that doing the closing down is a waste of their time why not analyze why ppl wan 2 go private servers first and then improve theirs so the player would choose theirs than private ones
Oh yeah on a positive point for neon they now have pvp kinda taken from private servers so that’s good they analysed the private servers.

Imagin you’ve an idea and people just rip off your idea and make profit out of them (Donation etc) Yea I know a lot of them aint even doing profit but also nice non-profit servers like Extalia have turned greedy and make a lot of profit with someone elses idea
Also remember you signed the ToS which strictly forbids to play privat servers
People raging and say “THIS NU FAIR=((” are just beeing angry and irrational
