Looking for some totally kick ass hysterical videos to kill time or just to have a good laugh with? I’ve decided to do a weekly Video of the Week where I post the funniest/coolest video I’ve found that week that I think is blogworthy of Maple-News.com.

While laughing my ass off at William Hung, I found this American Idol Season 7 audition with Renaldo Lapuz. This “caped crusader” is absolutely hysterical and probably in love with Simon. His audition song, “We’re Brothers Forever,” will surely be a hit worldwide when it hits stores. This is absolutely EPIC and will make you laugh for 7 minutes straight.

Dear Maplers,

It has always been our top priority to minimize and/or eliminate hacking. Lately, there has been a surge of cheaters abusing the game, who intentionally cause discomfort to the community. This morning alone over 100 abusers have had their accounts permanently suspended. We have always been and continue to be dedicated to implementing resolutions to the hacking issues.  The purpose of these resolutions is to bring hacking down to a controllable state and minimize its effect on our legitimate gaming community. Unfortunately as long as there are people willing to cheat, cheats will be available. We will continue to negate their affects and deter their efforts.

I Thought i would start a new thing going where i post easy methods on doing things that require verifying your account. This first method is changing your email and more! Before you got through it will require $10 or more, so here’s how!

Click 10,000 on buy on the website and click PayByCash and choose a payment type and then change the email and first and last name or just enter a first and last name. Then continue with the payment, but NEXON has to verify that you paid. Once you receive the NX your email, first, and last name should have changed.

On January 27, Kotaku.com confirmed with NEXON America that they had closed their Canadian development branch, Huamanature, in Vancouver. Over 90 employees were laid off and the studio has been closed permanently for now. According to NEXON America and Kotaku.com, their existing game titles such as MapleStory, Mabinogi, Combat Arms, Audition, as well as those already under development such as Sugar Rush, should not be affected by this unfortunate event. Humanature is known for it’s development of NEXON’s newest American game, Sugar Rush. Whether or not this will affect the future release and development of Sugar Rush, we can’t be sure.

The gaming industry has so far done fairly well in the global economic crisis, but the closure of NEXON’s Humanature studio proves that they’re not entirely immune. People have looked to video games to release some stress and get their mind off their current financial troubles. Video game sales have been high…but how long until people decide they need to cut back on their video game spending, especially for microtransaction games like MapleStory where you have to buy more NX cash at least every 3 months to replace those expired items. It will eventually come down to the players, and whether or not they want to keep NEXON and their favorite games alive by purchasing NEXON Cash.

Yea, i have not made a post in a while because, there is really nothing important going on in the maple community. So if you have not seen already, there is a 2x EXP Weekend! Meaning lots of fun for people who are going to waste valentines day on maplestory, but really you might want to train on sunday and monday, don’t waste your saturday on your computer, you never know if you will find love that day. Try going to the movies with your friends, family or even girlfriend. For me i’m going to this special movie playing at Golden Village! Which is a theater in Singapore, but what i just said has nothing to do with the 2x exp weekend, but it is tips on how to spend your valentines day!

Looks like Nexon is starting to inform the community and well, letting us know how things are going. They have made a brand new shiny Party Quest for GMS to try out. They are currently testing it so it will be a bit. I know lots of Maplers are awaiting this update. One thing I have noticed and a lot of other people have also is that Nexon is focusing a lot on New Leaf City and additions to it. i think this may be a somewhat good idea.
