NEXON Says, “Get Rid Of Your Old Friends!”
NEXON America’s latest ad that has been appearing on virtually any site with the words Maple and Story in them talks about their latest expansion of the game, the Pirate class. The odd ad says, “Make Some NEW Friends and Get RID of Some Old Ones!” I’m not exactly sure what kind of message that’s supposed to send to kids…but I don’t think it’s the right one. Friendships should be valued, but as we see in online games today, that’s not always the case. Now, not to be downing on NEXON the Pirate class has done well so far…but I think maybe next time they advertise, they should double check whether or not it’s appropriate for their audience.

LOL. When i saw the ad, i was like WTF. Nexon should watch their words. Many of their players are kids, so they should be a good example, not to break friendship.
But, dumping (when i say dump it means remove from buddylist) friends that quitted maple for good, uhh….

It was probably in terms of ‘Your a pirate, throw some random people overboard, and let the sharks do the rest’, but they are actually sending a wrong message, I doubt it’s intenional though.

Nope, they don’t mean removing or dumping old games.
I think they mean to dump or rid of your old friends that quitted or joined Servers and make new friends. BUT THATS NOT GOOD TO HEAR.
