I didn’t think I’d ever bring this up again. Last time we re-opened the donations option, no one seemed to interested. We got a small, but kind donation from “Strawberry” (identity will remain unknown by her request) that did help the site. If you don’t know, Maple-News is hosted by a good friend of ours. He was the one who allowed us to make the move from free web hosting, to paid web hosting and we are very grateful for his help in getting Maple-News where it is today. No, we’re not starved for money and no donations are not vital, but if there are those occasional users from other fansites who do enjoy the site and take interest in it who would like to help the site out, I may consider re-opening the option.

I know the first question that would pop into your mind would be: “Why do you need donations?” We don’t need donations. The writers, editors, video creators, screen shot hunters, and the list goes on and on take the time out of their day to bring you the latest MapleStory news about the game, Private Servers, game updates, and many other assortments of MapleStory and non-MapleStory related news. No one gets paid here…we’re not like one of those big news corporations. We love writing and enjoy playing MapleStory, which is why this site was created and why it continues. So, back to the question…what would donations be used for? Helping our friend with the bills, making any upgrades needed for the site whether it be more space and bandwith or better news radio hardware (microphones, headphones, programs, etc.). In return, donors would receive special Maple-News website user and forum privileges allowing them to get certain edges on the latest news and everything else. I’m probably boring you all to death now…so I’ll leave it up to your comments and votes.

    I’d love to donate, but if I were to donate, I’d have to have my own Paypal account and such, and I would be donating to every site I like, unfortunately, I also am in need of money, and I can’t afford it to just give it away, like others, I’d really like to help, but I don’t have ability/money.

    Sorry Harry, I would seriously, but I dont have a job and Im REALLY low on money. And I’m not allowed to use paypal by myself and my parents would probably say no since they dont know you.

    I think most people that come to our site are under the age of 18 so most of us dont have a credit card and/or paypal account.
