You probably already might now that GMS is having a Black Friday sale event. This Black Friday Sale started on Black Friday and ends on November 30th. The event has been the biggest sale ever in the Cash Shop! Within 30 minutes, ALL the items are sold out. Looks like Nexon finally has made a good event.

Hello everyone, this is me kennytran4, a new staff member of Maple-News. I’ll start my first topic on a very  contreversal subjects which is Private Servers. I’ve got to say that i’m more supporting Nexon than Private Servers. So lets begin!

Beginning

A long time ago, (last year?) there was Maplestory.  Maplestory was a fun game until some ‘people’ (i’m reffering to developers) created Private Servers. Players, promised of easier level ups and free NX items joined Private Servers. This new trend made MapleStory lose a lot of people to the ever growing servers. 

Reasons:

There were many reasons Maplers decided to quit MapleStory and venture off to Private Servers. Here were some examples.

• Bad reputaion on answering peoples tickets and VERY bad management (got a F in the BMB)
• Obviously there were bad events
• People getting advantage because they have the NX cash.                            
• Took to long to level

There were many other reason that we will explore later.

Lawsuits and C&D notes

The population of MapleStory was gradually slowing down at the rate that Nexon decided to bring justice into their own hands.  This had led to the fall of Private Servers. Nexon first primarily targeted the sources of Private Servers so if they taken down one, they would have taken down hundreds. They have sued Odin MS for about 200,000 dollars and arrested a lot of developers such as Koolk.One by one, hundred by hundred, Private Servers were quickly and swiftly taken down. Some famous Private Servers that were taken down were

1. Odin MS
2. Titan MS
3. Local MS
4. Final MS

Then, after all the sources were shut down, they sent Cease and Desist letters to Major Private Servers to erridicate them out. Here is a example received from LocalMS.

 Important Facts YOU should know

• Money Bags were created because of the meso farmers. Meso farming isnt legit and buying from farmers is an absolute no-no. Nexon has created this method so it prevents farming. Farming is also illegal too
• Private Servers are illegal if you develop one. So if you made one your running the law! You are getting trademarks of Nexon and are copying them.
• ‘There once was a time without NX Cash.’  Well there was until Nexon created it. If there was no NX Cash, the servers of MapleStory would run out of money which means that they wont keep up with server costs and BAM! No more MapleStory for you.

And well thats it! My summary of Nexon and Private Servers. You may hate me or you may like me on my first post on this contriversal subject but Hey! No-one likes it when you create a game and then someone else makes a rip-off version of it. Signing off, kennytran4.

So…Have you ever wanted to trade a Zakum Helmet,Horntail Pendant,PQ pendants,but the Item says “UnTradeable:” Or “QuestItem” well…You can change those into tradeable items with Karma’s Scissors! Karma’s Scissors changes Untradeable items into Tradeable items,and Karma’s Scissors can be bought through the Cash Shop. Karma’s Scissors are only currently in KMS, but will soon be released into other versions of Maplestory.

Hey Guys! Its Inuyashax3…Again…

Maplestory gets ready for a remake! Maplestory2 [Kind of a lame name.]You may heard rumors about it, but it’s true! The beta is currently taking place in Korea right NOW!

So what does Maplestory2 include?

-3D graphics

-Few more new maps than Maplestory, but mostly the same.

-There will be 6 jobs including Warrior, Magician, Bowman and Thief (Not sure about Pirate and the other 2.)

-5th job will be featured in Maplestory2

-All quests will be the same as in Maplestory, but the story lines are changed.

Hey Guys It’s me again Inuyashax3

While I was on google I found something intresting. I found a picture of “Archeros” a lost town of bowmen and it’s funny knowing its fake and someone spent some time editing. Even if it was true, it would MOST likely to be found in KMS and earlier versions than GMS. You can also see the outline of the banner in the back thats covered by the Archeos banner.

Hi guys! It’s Inuyashax3 with Maple Global’s V63 patch which is coming out this December with new monsters and a new map!

Magatia:

V63 GMS Magatia Map Release

-Magatia is as estensive map from the Nihal Desert, also known as Ariant.

-Some roads in Magatia are: Sunset Road, Jenumist Labratory, Alchaden Labratory

-Level range: 24-32 (best levels for training and quests there, although monsters level range vary from level 24 to level 80 which is almost equivalent to ludibrium .)

-Magatia is a medieval themed tow and have two underground laboratories filled with “electronic” monsters.

-A new NPC Stan in Magatia teaches players a new skill “Maker,” which enables players to forge equipments, using special crystals and formulas. The skills level can only be increased by completing later quests, available at level 75 and 105.

-The laboratory can be accessed by the far left side of the town, there are many books and libraries mostly invaded by monsters.

-Most of the creatures are deformed biological creatures, and several creatures seem to be created by an experiment!

• Homunculus
• Homunscullo
