Lately MapleStory has been having many issues with they’re server stability, this has caused the game to go offline many times, and even have a three day rollback. It’s been expected that Nexon would take action against hackers ruining MapleStory. Fortunately, they did: LOS ANGELES (CN) – The Korean distributor of the online role-playing game MapleStory is trying to stop hackers from selling cheats to players through two websites. Nexon Korea Corp. and Nexon America sued the creators and operators of the GamerSoul and Riu Kazaki websites, where MapleStory players can buy the infringing cheats and hacks. On Friday an official announcement was posted on the MapleGlobal website regarding the server crashes resulting in lost mesos and items. Although apologetic, the reasons behind the server crash was vague and hinted at being caused by more than just hardware malfunctions (Nexon is currently involved in several lawsuits with hacking websites). The highly anticipated patch of Legend is confirmed to come this December. Sorry for the horrible titlle but it’s slowly coming to the truth; Nexon is SLOWLY making progress shown to the public that they’ll beat the hackers out of their game. Just recently, an Ultimate Adventurer exploit that allows a user to generate a free Lv 50 Ultimate Adventurer/ Cannoneer has recently been patched and fixed!
